Library    

Our well-resourced library is situated in an air-conditioned demountable. It has 10 computers, a data projector, TV and video.

Library borrowing days for 2009 are:

At the beginning of the year, each class will be given a special day of the week for borrowing school library books. We encourage every child to borrow a book once a week, in class library time, as we firmly believe in fostering a love of books through reading.

Books are on loan for one week, only, after which they must be returned on their special borrowing day. Loan renewals are permitted.

Children may only borrow from the school library if they have a library bag. The bag should preferable be a cloth bag, but a plastic shopping bag is quite acceptable. The library bag helps protect the book and encourages the idea that books are special.

When a book is defaced or lost, parents will be asked to either buy a replacement book or cover the cost of purchase.
