Welcome to Tucabia Public School website. Our
school is located 25 kms north-east of Grafton in the centre of the
village.
The original
one teacher building has expanded to 3 large, airy classrooms and a
well-resourced library.
Our
expansive playground allows the students to have space and opportunities
to enjoy a wide range of sporting activities.
The students
are fortunate enough to have an experienced teaching staff who are
dedicated to providing not only comprehensive and literacy programs but
innovative programs that create high level thinking. Students are taught
how to learn at Tucabia School.
This site has been
designed to showcase our students' abilities, the diverse innovative
programs and the rural setting of our school. We invite you to explore

Our School motto Live and
Learn underpins the ethos of Tucabia Public School. Every learning
experience is valued as a tool for life
long learning.
Students are taught to think creatively, take risks and ask good
questions. Our students believe they can learn! They develop the
capacity to transfer the knowledge they have at home into the school
setting and vice versa.
Our
teachers are committed to the process of learning to develop deep
knowledge and understanding in their students. Our focus on student
welfare allows staff to support and assist the individual child to reach
their full potential and develop their personal strengths. Students
regularly self reflect on their behaviour to solve problems and devise
solutions.
The
school ethos is enhanced by a very supportive and enthusiastic
community. Strong home-school partnerships have allowed the school to
develop excellent communications with parents. These solid relationships
not only model to our students that they are valued and their education
is important but it also has a profoundly, positive impact on their
learning.
It is the
students who create our school and it is the students who give parents
and teachers great fulfilment. They have taken on leadership,
responsibility and regularly face challenges only to hurdle them for the
next one. Students push themselves out of their comfort zones and
continually try new things. It is this attitude that makes Tucabia
Public School a quality environment.
