Home Page Info Our School Location Newsletters Programs Library P&C		Tucabia P&C Tucabia Public School enjoys a special and effective relationship with the parents and local community. This is evidenced by the extent of the P&C’s involvement and its achievements. *P&C Meetings* Our school has an active Parents & Citizens Association, which is always keen to welcome new members. They support the school and the education of your children in a number of ways. They fund raise; hold working bees for specific projects as well as general beautification and maintenance. Providing a canteen for students is also an essential support which is run by volunteers three days a week. Meetings are an important forum for the exchange of information and ideas between parents and teachers. It provides a chance to learn more about subject syllabuses and teaching practices and allows input into the priorities and directions for the school. Meetings are held regularly each month and the atmosphere is friendly and informal so please come along and join the fun! How are Parents and the Community involved with the school? School Watch – awareness and reporting of unauthorised access to school grounds outside of school hours Directly supporting the teachers by helping with reading activities, maths and science workshops, visual arts and craft activities Generally assisting teachers with tasks such as book covering Parent attendance and help on camps and excursions Food donations for camps, excursions and other special events Assistance at school sporting activities and carnivals Donations to assist with the cost of producing the Tucabia School Recipe Book Bottle top and newspaper voucher collection Benefits for the Community Workshops Computer training tailored to the needs of participants "Learning how to Learn". Understanding and supporting the teachers in their innovative approach to teaching and helping our children to learn School Newsletter Advertising of community events and special items for local business
